History of Harvey House

Harvey House is named after Harvey, the rabbit in the Jimmy Stewart film, Harvey. Harvey is a 6 foot 3 1/2 inch white rabbit. He is invisible and a pooka. If you haven’t seen the film yet, we hope you do and that you like it too! It is an old film, and it moves a bit slow compared to films today. The characters are well developed, and it is a reminder to me that if I could be as generous, kind, and thoughtful on a really bad day (or a good day!) as the bar is set in the film, now that’s good character! Maybe the crazy one has it right? It is a film that is still relevant today and it speaks to our desire to judge others and also touches on what is important and what isn’t so important. And it’s a fun classic.
